Happy Spring!
PARKING LOT SAFETY
LET'S ROCK THE TEST!
The most imporant support you can give your kids is be sure they get enough exercise, fresh air, sleep, eat a good breakfast and encourage them to simply, " Do Your Best on the Test".
PEAKS (Performance Assessement for Alaska Students)
Below is information from the State of Alaska regarding Statewide Testing:
The state testing regulated by federal law is coming soon. Every child in third through tenth grade in the District, as well as the state of Alaska, will be assessed on the Performance Evaluation for Alaska’s Schools (PEAKS) the weeks of March 29th – April 16th. All students will demonstrate their knowledge in English language arts and math. Students in 5th, 8th &10th grades will also demonstrate their knowledge in science.
Clear and quantifiable assessment data will assist us in understanding any learning loss that has impacted MSBSD students this past year. Moreover, PEAKS assessment data can help inform students, teachers, and parents.
Students perform better on tests when they have had a good night’s sleep, good breakfast, and arrive at school on time. Thank you parents for your partnership and please contact your Principal if you have any questions!
MAP (Measures of Academic Progress)
If you have any questions regarding the MAP Test please feel free to contact us.

Fun Fridays!
PARKING LOT BINGO
Details are also posted on the website and an informaiton flyer is attached.
Here's the process:
1) On Friday, April 23, between 5 & 6:30 come to Larson and as you drive in you will recieve a Bingo Kit and a Hot Dog dinner for each member of your family. Bingo Kits will have a Door Prize Ticket included.
2) Choose a place to park. You may tailgate as long as you are socially distancing. This event is being held in the parking lot so for the safety of everyone: ALL children MUST STAY in the car/at your space during the entire event.
*The playground WILL BE CLOSED.
*Bathrooms will be accessible and we will be letting people into the building one person at a time--should you need to use the facilities.
3) We will be using an FM Radio Transmitter, and we will post The Radio Channel at the event. We are excited to use the transmitter so you will be able to hear the numbers called right on your car radio!
4) If you get a BINGO, you can HONK your horn and send a family representative to the front entry to confirm your BINGO and pick a prize. (Children must be accompanied by an adult to choose prizes).
Prizes will be a variety of games, just like the ones we normally have during Math Night.
Door Prize Tickets will be drawn to win Spring Picnic Baskets. **Picnic Baskets will be limited to one basket per household, but games will be Bingo Prizes until they are gone.
***You must be present to win the door prizes, and drawings will happen every 30 minutes.
We hope you can join us and we will be playing, rain or shine!
