Thank you for all of your patience and collaboration with us to make this a successful semester for all our students. I want to extend a huge amount of gratitude to the entire Myrtlewood students, parents, volunteers, community members and faculty and staff. Their amazing dedication and hard work to ensure that all of our students are able to access learning, and in a positive, safe, and healthy environment is unmatched.

Communication is essential and we strive to connect to our students, parents and families, and community each and every day. We also encourage you to visit our website and follow our social pages including Facebook and Instagram or announcements, information, and celebrations.

I am so excited to be at Myrtlewood for my forth year as the Library Media Specialist. Prior to being in the library, I was a 1st-2nd grade classroom teacher for 12 years. I love being able to teach every child in the school, especially about reading and books. I am married to my husband of 20 years and we have a 12 year old son. We love traveling and going on adventures as a family. Happy New Year!

Communicating with parents is a priority. Tuscaloosa County School educators will use SchoolStatus and as a result, have strong partnerships with our parents.
