Principal's Message: So Much To Be Thankful For
It’s hard to believe that we are a quarter of a way through this school year. Every single day is filled with incredible experiences here at SST. As we approach the Thanksgiving Break, I recognize that much of what I have to be thankful for this year is connected to this incredible place.
- To each and every person who was part of the interview teams who listened, questioned and eventually took a chance on me (especially Anya and Gracia who helped me fall in love with all the students here).
- Margaret Callahan, Nancy Pierce and Lang Plumer for graciously welcoming me into the SST Principal fold.
- Brenda and Laurie for filling in gaps in my journey that I cannot foresee and being the heartbeat to this very special school.
- Lisa Chamberlain, our nurse, for checking in on me and sharing a good laugh when needed.
- Our incredible teachers for inspiring, challenging and supporting me and keeping the best interests of our students as your GPS.
- Our Teaching Assistants who are the unsung heroes in this fabulous place.
- For the resilience, inspiration, focus and grace of my leadership team: Pam, Pat, Samantha and Sharon
- My fellow Principals in the SAU and Region for taking my phone calls, answering my emails and just being resources. Your support cannot be overemphasized.
- The Governing Board, ERSCD and Budget Advisory Committees for your candor and support.
- Everyone at the SAU. It’s fantastic to walk down the hallway and collaborate and troubleshoot, find candy and find new ways to help the incredible students who fill our school every day.
- The sending school faculties and administrations for welcoming me and being open to candid and sometimes difficult conversations rooted in a desire to do the best we can with the students with whom we are entrusted.
- To the parents and the glorious students of SST. Thank you for every day and every moment and giving me the Best Days of My Life with the Best Kids in My Life!
Together, WE are SST!
To each and every one of you, have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
From the Office of Assistant Principal: Ms. Pamela Carr
