Zero Waste Long Lunch

A sustainable and delicious Barossa Gourmet Weekend event

Big image

The Barossa Bushgardens and the Barossa Farmers Market have joined forces to present a new kind of Gourmet Weekend lunch event - one where sustainability and waste reduction takes center stage next to the beautiful fresh produce and exceptional wines our region is renown for.

This lunch will feature produce sourced from the Barossa Farmers Market, including ethically and sustainably raised meats, the freshest, seasonal vegetables, certified organic grains, flours and fruit. We're pairing it all with a variety of wines sourced from throughout the Barossa, all with some serious eco credentials of their own.

The stories behind the produce will be told on the day through photographs and short interviews with the producers so all our guests will be well fed and well informed!

And at the core of our lunch is this committment: not a scrap of food, paper or other waste will be added to landfill as a result of our gathering. We've brainstormed all manner of creative solutions to ensure that this is truly a Zero Waste Long Lunch and we're excited to welcome you along for the ride.
