Second Semester Starts

I hope that all of you had opportunities to spend extra time with your children and enjoy the flexibility of a break in the school calendar. I can't believe that the first semester is already over! Second semester is sure to move just as fast. During the second semester of the school year we will conduct many important tests in grades 3 through 5. Please see the calendar below for our testing date windows. We will send more details home regarding our specific days of testing as we get closer to those dates. Thank you for sending your child to school ready to learn! We appreciate the support that we get from parents.

Please be sure to contact your child's teacher if you have any questions or concerns about anything that you are seeing with homework or report cards that came home on Friday, Jan. 6.

iPads at Home

Just before Christmas break students received their iPads. In order to maximize our iPads as a learning tool, we will soon be sending them home with students. This is an exciting time and also creates a great change in the way that home and school learning are connected using technology. Our goal is to take the steps necessary to inform parents with needed information so that this connection goes smoothly. Please see the information below regarding two parent meetings that we are holding and don't hesitate to contact me if you can't attend one of the meetings and need more information.

Parent iPad Informational Meeting

Tuesday, Jan. 24th, 8:45am

Wolf Lake Elementary School 1283 South Main Street, Wolf Lake, IN

On Tuesday, January 24 we will hold two separate parent meetings to discuss iPads being sent home with students. The meetings will be in our library at 8:45 am AND 6:00 pm. Please plan to attend one of these two sessions. If you can't make it please let me know and I can arrange a separate time to talk to you about any questions or concerns.

At the meeting I will present information regarding iPads at home and answer questions you may have. The technology department will be on hand to discuss insurance policies on devices and other information regarding the care of iPads at home and school. All students must have paperwork completed prior to taking their iPad home. Any parents that can't attend the meeting will have paperwork sent home by their student's classroom teacher.
