GPCSD Education Foundation

2020 Year in Review

Message from Chair

The past year has been busy for the foundation as usual. Without doubt this year has been dominated by the pandemic and its effects on our community. When schools closed because of the pandemic in March the Foundation Snack Program which had been providing food support to students of our district found ways to continue. So, the most needy in our district continued to get food support at home right through the summer. In addition, the foundation, thanks to Executive Director and her team was able to also provide support to the needy in the larger community. This was possible through the hard work of Executive Director and her team plus the generosity of many donors and nonprofit agencies. This, for me, illustrates a basic teaching of Jesus, " I was hungry, and you gave me to eat."
