Energy Projects

Students have already started turning in some fantastic projects. I cannot wait to see the rest as them. Students are free to bring them any time or if they are videos you can email them to me at megan.bodmann@wylieisd.net.

Vocabulary Quiz

We will be having a vocabulary quiz on Monday, December 8th. Students have a list of all their vocabulary words in their binders, but I have also given them a link to Quizlet which is an online study aid. Here is the link: http://quizlet.com/_h91fm . The website has digital flashcards, games, etc.

Our Donor's Choose Project

We are so close to getting completely funded thanks to many people, some of which I know, and some who are complete strangers. It warms my heart that so many people come together to help our students. Our deadline for funding is January 9th and we have only $155 to go out of $771. That's fantastic. If it is in your heart to do so and you are able, the link is below to donate. You can also share this link with others that might be interested in helping our class out. Thanks to those who have donated to our project. The students are super excited!

Math

Fractions and Decimals

We began our new unit today. This week we are focusing on equivalent fractions and comparing fractions. Next week, we will be studying decimals and their relationship to fractions. We will finish things up with mixed numbers, improper fractions, and adding and subtracting fractions.

We will not have IXL any longer, so here are some games your student can go play to work on their fraction skills.
