Moore MST Magnet School
Welcome Back Moore Mustangs!
To our new 6th graders, you are about to embark on an unforgettable middle school journey. It's okay if you have some "first day jitters". Your teachers, coaches and administrators will be here to help you every step of the way. It won't be long before you know your way around the campus, and have your entire class schedule memorized. Don't blink, because middle school will be over before you know it. That's why we want you to get involved in lots of extracurricular activities. Remember, involved students are successful students.
7th graders, you have a whole new set of electives available to you this year. From science enrichment courses, to performing arts and athletics, middle school is about to become even more fun. Being responsible and diligent in your class work will enable you to enjoy participation in these enriching activities.
8th graders, you are our new campus leaders. We are proud of all that you have accomplished so far. And now, we look to you to show your classmates what it means to "press on toward the goal" of excellence in all that we do. Mustang Up! See you on Monday.
We are eager to greet your child when they arrive on campus each morning. The front doors on the north side of campus open at 7:30 a.m. The fine arts entrance opens at 7:35 a.m. All students eating breakfast must use one of these entrances and proceed directly to the cafeteria. The gym entrance opens at 7:50 a.m. Morning tutorials are available every morning from 7:50-8:20 a.m. (The only exception is the first Thursday morning of each month.)
Upon dismissal, our goal is to return your child to you safely. The dismissal bell rings at 3:45 p.m. and the campus is cleared by 4:00 p.m. All bus riders will report to the cafeteria to await pickup. Students who walk home must begin walking home before 4:00 p.m. Students who remain after 4:00 p.m. will await parent pickup in the library. These students may be picked up at the fine arts entrance only, as the rest of the campus doors will automatically lock at 4:00 p.m. Campus personnel will be stationed at this location to assist you.

Need Bus Transportation?
ALL transportation requests must be made via Online Registration. Registration must be complete by Monday, August 9 to be eligible to ride the bus on the first day of school.
Parents must provide transportation until such time as the student is assigned to a bus route.
Attention Student-Athletes
In order to participate in athletics, all students must turn in a completed Medical History Form. Prospective athletes in grade 7, as well as 8th graders who did not obtain a physical evaluation last year, will be required to obtain a physical evaluation for the upcoming school year. Please complete these items as soon as possible so that your child can begin participating immediately.
A note about our daily athletic schedule:
8th grade girls & 7th grade boys will practice on A and B days, beginning at 7:30 AM and during 1st period.
8th grade boys and 7th grade girls will practice on A and B days, during their 5th period class until 4:45 PM.
This allows high school coaches to work with our student-athletes during their daily athletic period. Additionally, an athletic tutor will be provided to work with all student-athletes in need of additional support. This will take place during the daily athletic period.
