End of Unit: Roads
Dear Parents
Studying Roads have offered children the opportunity to practice many social-emotional skills. For example, children practiced cooperating, taking turns, sharing ideas and planning together to make roads and signs, and to build and test bridges. In this study, we guided them to learn how roads are planned, built, and repaired, and how much we depend on roads to connect us to services, goods, and loved ones. Now that we know so much it’s time to celebrate all our hard work! Students designed and implemented a safe bike track to use during PE class. This activity offered children the opportunity of applying all their knowledge about maps, road signs, and safety rules. Ms. Sharon helped us set up 4 stations for children to rotate:
• Driver’s License Test station
• Auto Shop
• Road Map Play
• Tricycle Road
Take a look at our wonderful celebration!
