Art with Ms. Mohn
The kindergartners are in the middle of a unit about lines. Last week they took home their Line Roller coasters. This week they are creating the lines for a rainbow painting that they will finish next week.
Third graders are almost done with their textured sandcastle paintings. They used watercolors and salt to create a cool effect for sand.
Fourth and fifth graders created colorful iguanas and chameleons. They used rubbing alcohol and salt on wet watercolors to create interesting reptile skin and backgrounds.
The middle schoolers are in the middle of a unit on color. They are working on an abstract painting with complimentary colors and will be starting a grid picture using warm and cool colors.
Ms. Mohn is always in need of a variety of supplies for her classes. If you have any of the following items, please drop them off in the front office or her room! Thanks for all your support of the visual arts at Kestrel!
