And Beyond.....

Vacation Week for February 17th - 21st

School Site Council

We are all set with School Site Council parents. We have several families who are helping us this year! Please feel free to attend the meeting as a participant though. The agenda will consist of:

February 10th - 6pm - Agenda:

1. Review School Site Council Regulations and Laws
2. Vote in the School Site Council for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year
3. Determine School Site Council Priorities for the reminder of the year
4. Review draft Quality Improvement Plan

5. Review current budget

Kindness Lollipop Sales

The PALS will be selling lollipops on Thursday and Friday as part of Kindness Week. We will sell 2 lollipops for $1.00. The kids will keep one lollipop and give a lollipop to someone else. Sharing is caring and we hope this will put a smile on other kids' faces during National kindness Week.

Grade 4 Writing Celebration

Room 211 and 212 students have been working on writing samples and will be inviting families in on Thursday, February 13th at 1:20pm to share their personal narratives. Snacks and juice will be served. This event is open to families of students in rooms 211 and 212.

Thank you Ms. Cunningham

I just wanted to publicly thank Ms. Cunningham for helping out at the school this week since I was sick with the flu. Ms. Cunningham has always been available and continues to support the Washington School even during retirement!

Arrival

Please remember that a staff member is not outside in the parking lot until 8:25am. Parents are in charge of the students until this time. Students should line up and be ready to enter school at 8:30am.
