A note from my laptop to yours
Hello everyone,
Preschool-PreK students have been retelling stories through theater, puppet shows and other activities. The Napping House, Goldilocks and the Three Bears and other books have been enjoyed by all.
Kindergarten-We have "traveled" across the globe to Africa to learn about Wangari's Trees of Peace, Kenya and the traditions of the tooth fairy in Mali.
First Grade-Students have become Mock Caldecott Committee members and are critically analyzing three award wining picture books. At the end of the unit, they will determine which of the books is the Gold medal Caldecott winner.

Third-Grade- For the last weeks of class, we will be playing games to learn about reference materials such as dictionaries, almanacs and encyclopedias. Students will develop skills on searching and determining the purposes of these resources.
Fourth Grade-For the last weeks of class, we will be playing games to learn about reference materials such as dictionaries, almanacs and encyclopedias. Students will develop skills on searching and determining the purposes of these resources.
Fifth Grade-For the last weeks of class, we will be playing games to learn about reference materials such as dictionaries, almanacs and encyclopedias. Students will develop skills on searching and determining the purposes of these resources.

LMC Raffle
Where: Library Media Center
When: Monday, May 11-15 The winners will be announced on Monday, May 18th.
How: Students, teachers and parents purchase tickets in the library. Tickets are $1 each. There are three 1st and 2nd grade baskets, two 3rd-5th grade ones and two middle school ones. Each of the baskets contain 4-7 new books, candy and some fun school supplies.
Why: This is a fundraiser to support the contests and activities that prek-12th grade students enjoy in the LMC throughout the school year.
