DR. NULL'S CISD WORD OF THE YEAR...
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK...
THINGS TO KNOW...
*PLC trial run will happen next week. On your assigned day, you will take your students to their assigned specials class. (see more details below) Then at 3, you will return to help oversee dismissal to ensure that we get all students home the correct way. Hopefully this will make the next week a little more smooth and calm all of our fears.
*PLC schedule is M - 2nd, T - 3rd, W - 4th, Th - K, F - 1st.
*Monday is Faculty Meeting. Agenda link is below. Warning, this will be a longer one than we usually have but we pushed things from beginning of year staff development to give you more time in your rooms or with your teams. Be prepared to stay until 5.
*Substitutes - As we begin to attend trainings paid for by the district, please remember to email Kathie what training you will be attending. She notes that in the memo so that it is paid by the right folks.
*Remind 101 - If you are still holding out, here is the last time I will run this. Please join so that you get text messages from me.
*As accommodations from SPED, 504 and LEP keep coming, please make sure you sign them within 24 hours of receipt. Print and file a copy where you have daily access to them.
*Fire drill went well. As the year progresses, we will hopefully decrease our total exit time. Make sure you take your binder and kit with you, close your door and turn off your lights.
*Staff car signs - Everyone should have a car tag in their mailbox. Please hang that on your rear view mirror daily so that we can designate our staff cars. If you lose it or it tears, see Deanna. We do have a limited supply so be careful with them.
*Paraprofessionals please do your best to clock in and out at the appropriate times. We know it's difficult, but do you best. Correction time sheets are due to Kathie Monday morning.
GOOD NEWS - It's a 5 day week followed by a 3 day weekend! First person to email me what you are doing over the 3 day weekend gets a surprise on Monday!
PLC Run Through
As we begin the PLC time, Rachel and Kara are working to transform the bookroom/Rachel's office into our PLC room. We will start this week meeting out there and will continue weekly from here forward. You will be amazed as we continue to transform it what we will end up with! :)
Second grade specials ends at 2:30. Drop off time for PLC is 2:35. Your entire team should be in the bookroom ready to go no later than 2:40. Thank you for being prompt so that we can maximize our time together.
