Zones Netball Success
Another fantastic day for sports today, with our netball teams competing at Zones.
Despite the fact that none of our participants will have ever experienced competition at school zones before (thank you, COVID), they went on to give it their all, with every team performing well and 'A' Team securing 1st Place.
Congratulations go to all of our participants, with thanks to our Sports Coordinator, Karen Moore, along with Coaches Brad McMahon, Brianna Sivewright and also our parent volunteer coaches who have supported their teams all season.
Hall Repaint
For those of you who may have noticed work currently underway in our school hall, the space has now been brightened up with a fresh coat of paint and new LED lights, although the floor has - unfortunately - sustained some leak damage (from a burst pipe) recently, which will likely need significant repairs.
In the meantime, the space is still usable, and we will be working with the Ministry of Education on plans to remediate the damaged floor as soon as possible.
The PTA Needs You!
Finally, I'd like to put in a plea for your support with the 2022 Food & Fun Fair, which is fast approaching.
The PTA are well into planning this fun, memorable community event, but they still need helpers to make it happen. Please don't assume someone else will do it - get involved by contacting the PTA if you are able to help in any way on the day!

Yummy Apple Stickers - 1 month left to collect
Last year over 16,000 stickers were collected! The current submissions total is 7,530 - so please remember to save your apple stickers as we are only half way to meet last years number!
If you buy your Yummy apples by the box 📦 please note there are sometimes square cut-out labels that say 'Cut out Label' and these count as 10 stickers, or you can cut out the barcode and stick that on, or both! There is a separate sheet for cut-out labels but a blank piece of paper will work just as well.
The last day to collect stickers is September 27th so we still have a few more months to collect.
For more information this sports equipment promotion is available on the PTA website.
September PTA Meeting - online
The next meeting is next week - 7pm on Tuesday, September 6 - held online via Google Meets.
We will be discussing
- the response to the call for fundraiser ideas
- Hear updates on past events including Quiz Night & Calendar Art
- Plan upcoming events Fair Donation drop off day, Halloween Disco & Fair countdown
- PTA digital solutions
- Enviroschool targets
- PTA Constitutional
PTA meetings are a great way to hear what the PTA are doing or ask questions. We are running some meetings online to make it easier for parents/caregivers to attend. Meetings are run for only an hour with focus on agenda items so please join us online to hear about the efforts and help the committee need.
Please RSVP your interest to attend to menpspta@gmail.com.
Help!
Fun at the Fair
There are preparations underway for the fair, we need help with a few key roles - this is to help with stalls on the day and in the lead up to the event on November 13th.
We are still looking for help – without you we can’t do it!
We need coordinators for the following stalls:
- Face Painting
Coordinate the helpers before the fair, setting up the stall with equipment.
- Dunking Machine
Make sure the machine is in working order before the fair and get it connected to the water supply on fair day. Request a list of teachers from school who would like to be part of this stall and have fun on the day by dunking teachers and kids!
- Mission Impossible
You will need to just manage the queue at the entrance and display the price. You will have several helpers during the day to collect money.
- Jousting Bouncy Castle
You will need to just manage the queue at the entrance and display the price. You will have several helpers during the day to collect money.
- Bouncy Castle coordinator
This castle is only for small kids. You will need to just manage the queue at the entrance and display the price. This is an easy activity to run and you will have several helpers during the day to collect money.
- Money Golf
You will need to check there are enough materials to use on the day. On the day display the price and manage the queue. You will have several helpers during the day to collect money.
- Soccer shot
Your job is to manage children at the entrance and be sure you have soccer goals in the right place. This stall is really fun and easy to run. You will have several helpers during the day to collect money.
Please email us at menpspta@gmail.com for more information.

Support our school by eating a delicious Roast at The Bridgman.
Seems too easy but $10 of every kids meal goes directly to our school funds. All you need to do is book your table and put MENPS into the ‘requests’ box and they will donate the profits of your kids meals back to the school.
Easy right?
Just book here - The Bridgman | Corner of Dominion & Valley Roads | Carefully curated food, drinks & cocktails.
