LCPS Annual Parent Survey
Loudoun County Public Schools will be emailing a link to the Annual Parent Survey during the week of February 11. We hope that you will respond to the survey because your feedback is very important to us. We want to know what we do well and what we can do better. The survey will close February 28.
Parents will be receiving an email message from research@lcps.org via mail.questionpro.com with a link to the online survey. LCPS will send you one email message for each school in which you have a child enrolled. Please respond to all of the links sent to you because your opinion is important to each of the schools that your children attend. You should be able to answer the questions in approximately 10 minutes. All responses are anonymous.
Results of previous surveys can be viewed on the LCPS website, https://www.lcps.org/Page/189350
If you do not receive a survey link to complete by February 19, please contact the LCPS Research Office via email- research@lcps.org. Your participation is greatly appreciated.
Social Science & Global Studies Resource Adoption for 5th Grade
The Social Science & Global Studies Resource adoption is underway for our 5th grade classrooms. The following are the materials are on view in the Collaborative Learning Commons (also known as the library), near the checkout desk:
- Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH)’s 4th grade materials correspond to our 5th grade curriculum, so that is what we are considering from them. The printed materials consist of magazine style booklets on selected topics. I have set up a sample of these in the library. There is also an overview of the program, so you can see what the other topics are. You have access digitally to all of the materials and resources.

VA_Student2 (Password1!) - Pearson has yet to send materials. We are hoping they arrive soon. You do have digital access to everything, including the student textbook.

You may put your comments about the adoption materials on the paper copy in the library, or you may submit them online at the following link on Google:
Should you have any questions about the textbooks, please contact Abby Seeley (Abigail.Seeley@lcps.org), FHR's Social Science Lead Teacher.
