Message from Administration
Parents,
SECOND DAY and all following days: All students will dismiss from inside the building to their appropriate areas: car rider, bus, daycare, walker, and biker. If your Child(ren) is a car rider, they will need to be picked up in the car rider line. We understand in the beginning that the car rider line is long and takes extra time as all staff and students get into the rhythm again for this school year. We also tend to have extra cars in the beginning as some families like to drop off and pick up the first week. We appreciate your patience in this system. We will NO LONGER have back Park and Pickup. These changes are being made to enhance safety. The main entrance will be the entrance for all visitors. For arrival, we will have safety patrol and staff on duty to expedite unloading. PLEASE PULL FORWARD in the line so that we can unload as many cars in the front car rider line space. Thank you for understanding.
We will have safety patrol and staff ready to assist with students that may need extra help finding their way into the building and to their classroom. Just let us know at drop off and we are happy to assist them in getting to their designated morning areas.
Students will enter the building and go the gym areas to wait on their teachers until 7:35a.m. If they are eating breakfast, they will go to the cafeteria upon arrival.
The front door will be locked at 7:50a.m. All students arriving after 7:50am will need their parents to escort them to the front door where they will be buzzed in, parents will walk them in the main office where they will sign in, and then, the student will report to class. Parents will be required to walk students in after 7:50am.
REMINDER: The front office will be closed between 2:30-3:15pm to complete dismissal duties and responsibilities.
The following video is less than 7 minutes long and addresses the safety changes and procedures for this school year.
Change is not always easy and can feel like an inconvenience; however, changes are necessary in keeping your children safe. They are irreplaceable. We love them already and look forward to growing them this year.
Thank you,
Tara Bailey
