Principal's Newsletter
From the Desk of Ms. Clark
October 25, 2018
Dear Parents,
Our mission at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic School is to form Catholic leaders through academic excellence, personal discipline, and Christian service. Our school is an extension of the parish community where our students are taught to carry out the mission of their own parish and of the universal church in order to grow into Catholic leaders. Saint Katharine Drexel imparts the knowledge of our Catholic faith and the responsibility of giving witness to our beliefs in all that we do.
Thank you for your attendance today, this evening, or tomorrow at our Parent- Teacher conferences. Family and school represent the primary environments in which our young children grow and develop, and at Saint Katharine Drexel, we value your parental involvement. The foundation for good parent-teacher relationships includes frequent and open communication, mutual respect, and a clear understanding of what is best for each individual child.
Thank you for the sacrifices you make and for your constant support for Catholic education and the mission of Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic School. Let us ask God for the strength and courage to live our Catholic faith and to carry Christ’s mission into the lives of our children- creating Catholic leaders and ultimately equipping saints!
God’s blessings,
Ms. Clark

Pastors' Holiday, November 12th
Re-Registration
Re-registration for the 2019-2020 school year has begun. Each youngest and only child has received a letter explaining the process along with the Re-Registration form. Register before Thanksgiving and it is only $50 per family AND your family will be entered in a drawing to win VIP seats for Carol Night and the Passion Play!
Winter School Uniform
Students must begin wearing their winter school uniform on November 1st. As always, a neat appearance demonstrates respect for others and fosters an individual’s sense of self-respect and pride. The SKD winter uniform requirements can be found in our Family Handbook on our school website.
We Salute our Veterans
Please join us for our annual Veterans Day Celebration when we will honor those who have served our country and fought for our freedom! If you have a relative who is veteran and he/she would be able to join us, please call the office. Our celebration will begin at 10am on Thursday, November 15th.
CRSD Incorporates 3-Hour Delay Option
Please remember, since we are located in the CRSD, any announcements pertaining to Council Rock Schools will apply to Saint Katharine Drexel in the event of emergency school closings, early dismissals, or late start times.
Scholarship and Financial Aid Information
Important information and applications for need-based grants and merit-based scholarships are now available.
Please visit the Scholarships & Financial Aid tab on the AOP Catholic Schools website to access the online applications for the Maguire Scholars Program, Howley Family Foundation Scholarship and all other opportunities available.
Healthy Hands, Healthy Heart
Fall is here, and with the cool breeze comes the unfortunate cold and flu! If your child is sick, please keep him or her home. Please remind your child to always remember to wash his or her hands. Studies have proven that hand washing (next to the flu shot) is the BEST way to avoid colds and flu. A healthy diet and sleep also keep your immune system going, so be sure that your child gets plenty of rest!
Student Safety First
Please enter the morning drop-off car line with caution. The morning drop off is an express line; parents may not stop and get out of their cars. Students must exit from the PASSENGER SIDE only. Students MUST be ready to exit the car once pulling into the car line drop-off in order to eliminate back-up traffic. DO NOT DRIVE OUT OF THE CAR LINE. PLEASE WAIT FOR THE LINE TO MOVE SLOWLY TO EXIT.
If you need to bring your child into the school building, you MUST park your car in the front of the school and enter through the main school entrance. You must report to the office. No cars are permitted to park or idle in front of the school in the fire lane.
