Parent Involvement Program

Informational letters were sent out via email to you earlier. There are many opportunities to get involved at Tosa Catholic! Additionally, you may have your own ideas. Contact Ms. Kathy,, to discuss.

Safe Environment Certification for volunteers-

All WCS volunteers must have their Safe Environment Certification completed before volunteering. Please go to: to log into your CMG Connect Account to register for and complete the curriculum for your initial Safe Environment Certification. As a note, your initial certification expires after 5 years.

Lunch and Recess Volunteer Duty Sign-up Form

We need volunteers so that our teachers can re-energize themselves for the afternoon! Below you will find the sign-up form for the first week of school. It is set up for one week. If you would like 2 weeks at a time, let me know. Two volunteers (or staff members) are needed for each lunch and recess, i.e. 4 adults total.

Note: K-3rd graders eat lunch first (11:40-12:10), then have recess (12:10-12:40).

Conversely, 4th-8th graders have recess first, then eat lunch.

Volunteers must have completed the Safe Environment Certification.

Recruiting Building and Grounds Volunteers

For more than two decades, a group of volunteers have done projects big and small for both the school and church (building walls and ceiling for Clairvaux Hall, painting, landscaping, general cleaning, etc.). Current participants work on Thursday mornings since they are now retired. With moves and general aging issues, they are down able hands. For this volunteer work to continue, Building and Grounds needs a new generation of workers! This new group may choose to work a weekday night, weekend day, or whatever fits their schedule. Remaining members are more than happy to assist in the transition. Contact Ms. Kathy to let us know you are interested.

May we share the following tips...?

Shout out to Ms. Carr (and colleagues) and last year's 4th graders!

Recently, I received a letter from Diane Studer, the founder of the Soles for Jesus organization. She is ever so grateful for the shoes that were donated from last year's shoe drive. She adds, "The gift of shoes is opening doors for many to hear the life-changing message of Jesus. He continues to lead us to the most desperate places in Africa where people have a great need for the Gospel and shoes." Well done Mrs. Carr and students!

Don't count the days. Make the days count.

Muhammad Ali said, "Don't count the days. Make the days count." I remind myself of this whenever I jump ahead to whatever is next- which tends to be often. Let us slow down to enjoy the walks with the dog, conversations with friends, and bedtime stories with our little ones. The end of summer brings some of the most beautiful days. Enjoy them!
