5 Essentials Survey
We are excited to announce the return of the 5 Essentials surveys here at Station Campus! The 5 Essentials surveys are for parents and students. This is the eighth year that we will be participating in this statewide survey of school performance in 5 essential categories (hence the name!). The results of the survey are published annually, summarizing the performance level of schools in communities throughout Illinois. Since this is, “essentially” a performance appraisal of our school community, we are asking for all students and families to take time to complete it. Students will be taking the student version of the survey with their science teacher on March 10th. We hope that you will find time to complete the family survey as well.
*If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s participation, please contact me directly, prior to the scheduled date. Survey questions, and more, can be found on the Illinois 5Essentials website. (https://www.5-essentials.org/illinois).
To complete the survey right away, please visit: https://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/login/
Thanks so much for consideration!

Snowflake Message
As part of our yearly Snowflake program, we have a parent component that we will be sharing in video form this year where our speaker, Ty Sells, shares some insights. “Creating Connections That Count” gives adults practical ways to make young people feel more valued and cared for, build stronger connections, and influence more effectively. Ty Sells shares five key principles to be more impactful, build conducive environments to create connections, and inspire youth. We invite you to enjoy his message below and know that “We are all in this together!”
Have a GREAT day!

Station Athletics
As we look ahead to March, there are several opportunities for students to participate in Station Athletics. If your child is participating in sports, this is a great time to make sure that they have a current physical on file in the nurse's office. Physicals are valid for 13 months. Please use the links below to register for these opportunities.

As always, volunteers are needed to help judge at this year’s Speech Tournament. This is a wonderful way to give back to the community and see some talented students perform as well! We are in great need of community members to volunteer, no experience necessary! BHS juniors/seniors and college students are also welcome (a great way to earn service hours!). Please contact Ms. Alissa Borck with your name and phone number at aborck@barrington220.org, if you would like to participate in this fun and rewarding event!
