Love
That is what the Taj Mahal is all about. Well, everyone helped build the expensive Taj Mahal for twenty two years, in honor of Mumtaz. The Taj Mahal was built for Shah Jahan's wife. It is located in Agra, India across the Yamuna river. On the inside, there are square gardens divided by pools of water.
Money
Unsurprisingly, the Taj Mahal was an expensive thing to build. The building itself was made with white marble. It also has four domes on top of four towers. The Taj Mahal gateway is made with red sandstone. The finishing height is one hundred and seventy one meters tall.
Everyone Helped
Overall, everyone helped build the Taj Mahal. About twenty thousand workers from India and surrounding areas. There were one thousand elephants to help out too. The architect was Ustad Ahmad Lahauri.
Meaning
On the other hand, the Taj Mahal does have a meaning. For one it is "a symbol of India's rich history" says history.com. It is dedicated to Mumtaz Mahal because she died and her husband Shah Jahan loved her so much he built the Taj Mahal just to bury her there. That is also why it is called the Taj Mahal.
Everyone had a Part
Lastly, everyone had a part to play, building the Taj Mahal. Everyone helped build the expensive Taj Mahal for twenty two years, in honor of Mumtaz. Mumtaz Mahal had a big part because without her there would not even be a Taj Mahal. Even the elephants had a part. Love is very powerful.
