RAM, HDD, CPU...What is it all?
RAM stands for random access memory and is where data currently in use in a computer is stored- it requires power to store this data, it is measured in gigabytes.
HDD stands for hard disk drive, this is something you may have heard of, it is what permanently stores data, e.g. photos, word documents etc. this is measured in gigabytes and terabytes, there are 1024 gigabytes in 1 terabyte.
CPU is the central processing unit it is responsible for carrying out all the calculations and operations for a computer and is measured in gigahertz.
