Brenham ISD to host 2nd annual Advanced Academics Expo
Parents and community members are invited to attend the second annual Brenham ISD Advanced Academics Expo on Tuesday, December 10 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Brenham Middle School. This event features students and staff representing BISD's Gateway program, CSI program, pre-advanced placement classes, advanced placement classes, and AVID. The expo will showcase many of the rigorous learning opportunities made available to the advanced learners in Brenham public schools. Students served in these programs engage in multiple research-based projects that allow them to demonstrate individual academic knowledge and skills, as well as develop leadership skills through communication, collaboration, inquiry, and problem-solving. “Lightning rounds” will be also offered with discussions regarding the topics below. Please join us to discover what our amazing students are creating and innovating within Brenham ISD!

Don't toss out that broken terracotta pot, coffee cup or old watering can, up-cycle it! We will use old objects to make a piece of 3D art that are so unique it will have your guests asking, "How did you do that?" Your instructor will walk you, step by step, through the creation process, but will give you plenty of freedom to make your creation suit your personal preference and expression. This craft will unleash your inner creative while giving you all the calming benefits of working with soil and plants as your top off your craft with a beautiful succulent arrangement. This craft is suited for adults and young adults. Join us!

Come join us for a fun filled cookie decorating class. No baking and no experience needed! All cookies and supplies will be supplied along with take home recipes to use as reference! You will learn piping, flooding, consistencies and different techniques. You also get to take home your creations! All ages welcome!

PAINTING HOLIDAY ORNAMENTS WITH ALCOHOL INK
Join in to create beautiful hand painted bulb ornaments for your holiday tree or decorations. No painting experience needed. Apply colorful alcohol ink onto the surface of round glass or plastic bulbs. The Instructor will demonstrate techniques to create 3 different designs. All three ornaments will be finished with a varnish spray. The Instructor will provide all the supplies and will pass out a handout for future decorating at home. This class i suitable for adults and teens.

Be calm. Practice and model calm conflict resolution with your child.
Be united. Notify the school or reach out for help if you have questions or concerns about your child.
