Hello all!
The next Parenting Class we are offering is May 20th and will focus on Boys to Men. It will be held from 7:00pm- 8:30pm at the Marshall Women’s Center. We have an excellent panel lined up and will encourage questions and conversation. Please forward to anyone you feel may benefit. We would love to have a large crowd! All parents struggle at times and it’s important for them to see that they aren’t alone. All classes are free!

From Library/Computer Lab to Learning Commons Renovation - Summer 2015
- Our library and computer lab are becoming a learning commons.
- The design and implementation of the new library will transform our traditional library and computer lab spaces into one space that fosters learning and communication, a space for what students need now and what the school could envision for the future.
- Not only will the new space embrace the concept of a learning commons, it also will thoughtfully merge the best of the physical and digital worlds, including paper books and physical artifacts, as well as flexible furniture and an open environment. Digital content encourages students to explore, play and delve deeper into subjects they may not otherwise experience.
Preliminary Media Center/Learning Commons Floor Plan
- This plan will be enhanced and shared here in a few weeks. Thanks guys!
App of the Week
Title: Solve the Outbreak
Summary: Become a disease detective -- read clues, analyze data, save lives.
----------
Pros: Realistic outbreak scenarios help kids experience health science from the perspective of an actual disease detective; solving mysteries builds critical thinking skills.
Cons: The outbreak scenarios are text-heavy and require a lot of reading; links in the app can take users to mature content.
Bottom Line: Solve the Outbreak is a free, engaging resource that teaches kids about disease control and prevention.
