North Glendale Family Update
March 28, 2021
Welcome Back!
I had the opportunity to travel home to Wisconsin to see my Mom whom I have not seen since the start of the pandemic ~ LAST Spring Break. We were both recently vaccinated and felt like this was a safe plan. My siblings will follow suit later this month as we try to bring some normalcy back to my Mom. The isolation of the pandemic is the real deal for our most vulnerable.
4th quarter is NOTORIOUS for speeding by and this year looks to be no different!
Hang on tight, reach out with questions and enjoy the ride! :)

Prop R
- NG is the only elementary school in Kirkwood WITHOUT a safe and secure entryway?
- Students with mobility challenges cannot enter through the front door of our school?
- All of our adult restrooms require the adult to walk through a learning space?
- Our beautiful building has been victim to spray painted graffiti multiple times this year alone?
All of these issues would be addressed through Prop R as Prop R includes these necessary improvements for North Glendale:
- Safe and secure entrance
- Accessibility to our building
- Renovations for restrooms
- Updated cameras and lighting outside
To hear more you can review a Power Hour with NG specific information HERE. Or, check out this quick video highlighting the safety updates specifically.
Please reach out if I can provide additional information as you prepare to vote in the April 6 election or check out the Prop R info page linked HERE.
Reminder: please limit checking your student out of school early.
NG PTO Community Building Trivia Night!
Make plans to show off your grasp of random information at the 2021 NG Trivia Night.

Summer School Options
Please visit our Summer School website to learn more about our expanded summer options for students.
Student and staff well being has been and will be central to our planning. Families will need time away this summer, and many will schedule vacations that have been on hold for months. We know this, and we appreciate this - just as we know and appreciate that many students have academic and social-emotional needs to be addressed. Our summer plans seek to balance the needs of students and staff, recognizing important work to be done while keeping wellness at the forefront of our thinking.
