Big picture

Hello FLEX families,

I sincerely appreciate everyone who showed up for our first Family Organization meeting. We had a great turnout! The group would love to see more families show up. I encourage anyone interested in supporting the FLEX Online community to attend. Details for joining the video meeting are below:

What: FLEX Family Engagement Organization Meeting

When: Tuesday, November 17th at 7:00pm

Where: Video Meeting Link

Meeting ID: 829 7154 7132

Passcode: FLEX FEO

The FEO is a volunteer-based organization that provides resources, programs, and support to FLEX Online students, teachers, and staff. I hope to see you there!

Dates to Remember

November has several days off school. This can be a great time for students to catch up on any outstanding work, study for an upcoming exam, get ahead, practice some Spanish or even spend some extra time on an Art project.

  • November 11th: Veteran’s Day - Schools closed

  • November 13th: Grading Day - No school for students

  • November 25th - 27th: Thanksgiving Holiday - Schools closed

Progress Marks

Our 6th - 12th grade students will be getting a quarter progress grade the week of November 16th. These will be visible in ParentVUE and StudentVUE. For day-to-day scores and feedback, please check in Canvas and Apex for assignment scores and feedback.

This is an important checkpoint to see how students are doing to date. If you have questions about the marks, please reach out to the teacher.

FLEX Semester Openings

Do you know someone who is interested in joining FLEX at semester break this year? We are accepting a small number of applications for openings at the semester break (February 5, 2021).

Applications are due January 22nd at 4:00pm. Check our enrollment web page to learn more and access the application.

Mascot Competition - Due Friday, Nov. 13th

We have over 150 submissions to date! We are looking for student ideas and designs for a school mascot. Our mascot needs to be appropriate for all grades, K-12, and provide identity, create a brand and ignite unity and pride in our school. Special thanks to our Family Organization for their push to get this process going.

Tell Us Your Story!

We would love your help to tell the story of our school and the families that make our school community so special. We will use this information on our school website to help other students and families know more about our school. Use our online form to tell your story and even upload a photo if you have one!

In Case You Missed It Items

After-School Clubs!

We have several clubs running now including Pokemon, art, writing and more! These are a great way for students to connect and meet other students who share their interests. Students can ask their Homeroom or Advisory teacher to find out how to sign up. Information about our current clubs and when they meet is on our website.

Thanks for reading!
