HOLY ROSARY NEWSLETTER
Term 2 Week 6 June 7 2019
FROM MARK
Dear Parents/Guardians
At this time with our Year Six students preparing to receive the sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday night, the opportunity was there to share the thoughts of Hauser. Pause for thought indeed.
I do hope that the long weekend was a good one for everyone and that your children have returned ready to get on with the second half of term two.
The number of children away has fluctuated this week with 33 off yesterday.
Flu is still evident - and this weather is not helping - and gastro has migrated to the older children. Thank you very much for supporting their recovery, and not spreading the bugs by NOT having sick children at school.
I draw your attention to the two Musica Viva concerts scheduled for next week Wednesday June 12. The 9.30am concert is for our junior primary children and the 11:10am concert is for our middle and upper primary children. These concerts mark the culmination of the music programme Michelle has been teaching since the beginning of the year and provide you with a sense of that journey. You are welcome to join us.
We hope to see you at Friday's assembly led by the Awesome Pre-Primary Catherine group! You are very welcome.
Have a good weekend
Mark de Kluyver
Principal

Holy Rosary Cross Country 2019 ****POSTPONED****
A decision has been made by the administration team to postpone the Holy Rosary Cross Country Carnival for a few weeks due to the current bad weather forecast for Monday.
The weather forecast currently is predicting heavy rain with strong winds and possible hail and storms. As a result we have decided to delay the carnival in the best interests of the children.
The Stirling City Council have approved July 1st and this will be our revised date for the Holy Rosary Cross Country Carnival.
Current permission slips will serve as permission for the new date unless we receive notification to the contrary from parents before the carnival.
Kind regards,
Rob Flexman - P.E Teacher

CORRECT SCHOOL UNIFORMS
The Holy Rosary Student Leaders would like to thank all their fellow students for the huge improvement to their school uniform this term. On Thursday we conducted a full uniform check through the school and as a whole they were outstanding! The winning class was 4C, shown above. There are still a few classes in need of improvement however, so we will be having another spot check later this term. The classes we will focus on know who they are… We will be targeting correct sports shoes (mainly white) and the wearing of school ties.
