November & December Visitors
November--
Ms. Charlton's English III students worked on Chromebooks to peer edit their essays. Students in Ms. Wales' Food Science classes continued research relating to their PBL. Be sure to look for news about the winning projects in the next edition. World Geography students in Mr. Reinhard's classes completed research in the Culturegrams database on different countries for their Adopt-a-Country assignment. They were instructed on searching in this particular database. Ms. Steitle's English I students were instructed on accessing information in various databases on current issues related to science, and ultimately created brochures. European History students in Ms. Carrier's classes researched the French Revolution to present in their original magazine creations. The Election of 1932 was the topic of research for students in Ms. George's US History Classes.
December--
The library hosted testing for HOSA competition and STAAR for 6 days in December. We also spent 2 days conducting an inventory of our print collection. In between these events we welcomed Ms. Gonzales and Ms. Sansone's AP Environmental Science classes for research related to their Survivor Biome Projects, and Ms. Gibson's English III classes were instructed on the use of databases for their literary analysis essays.

Want to share your passion for reading with your students?
We have a poster to hang by your door to let students know what you're reading. Just write in the title with a dry erase marker. It'll be laminated so you can update your poster as you update your reads. Great opportunity to connect with students!
Email Clara or me to have a poster placed in your teacher box.
