Volunteer Opportunities
Grandparents Day
We are excited to celebrate Grandparents Day with our Lincoln Bear families this year. In order to ensure we are prepared to welcome all of our guests, please let us know if your family will participate in our Grandparents Day "Donuts with Grownups" celebration. We are dividing the event into two days based on the last names of students. This will help limit the size of the gathering for safety purposes. The event will take place from 7:15 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. on the following days:
- Student Last Name A-L: Wednesday, 9/8
- Student Last Name M-Z: Thursday, 9/9
Health and Safety
While attendance at school is important, please do not send your child if s/he is experiencing any of the symptoms above.

Lunch Menus
As a reminder, all breakfast and lunch meals are free to all students this year. However, if a child wants an additional helping or snacks, they must have money in their account to purchase the extras.
Tuesday (8/24) - Main dish choices: chicken tenders, fish sticks, or Smucker's Uncrustable
Wednesday (8/25) - Main dish choices: cheese pizza, beef ravioli, Munchable meal, or baked potato plate
Thursday (8/226) - Main dish choices: chicken fajitas, fiesta nachos, Smucker's Uncrustable, or baked potato plate
Friday (8/27) - Main dish choices: cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, Pizza Munchable, or grilled cheese sandwich

School Hours, Attendance and Tardies
- Doors open at 7:50
- Tardy bell rings at 8:15
- School day ends at 3:40
We are working hard to maximize each and every minute our students are here. Students who arrive after 8:15 are considered tardy and will need to be walked into the front door of the building and signed in by a parent or guardian. If your child needs to leave early, they may be checked out through the front office by a parent or guardian.
Changes in transportation need to be made prior to 2:00 in order to allow time for the messages to be communicated with the appropriate staff member. To request a change of transportation, either
- Send a note with your child,
- Email LincolnElementaryTransit@misd.org with the note and a copy of your driver's license, or
- Come to the school with a copy of your driver's license.
