HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
I hope you are all enjoying your special day! I received the best present - 2 hours of QUIET by myself! Hahaha!

Again, thank you so much for everything these last 12 weeks. They truly have been enjoyable. I will miss you all very much! I enjoyed the SURPRISE after lunch on Friday. Thank you for your generosity and kindness. They mean the world to me! I had to hold back the tears! I plan on coming to Trading Day on Tuesday - I have to see all their hard work! I certainly hope I see many of you over the summer - Downtown RO, Memorial Park, Farmers Market or even at ROMS next year! AGAIN - THANK YOU so much!

Writing: LITERARY ESSAY
Literary Essay: The purpose of a literary essay is to carefully examine a work of literature.
This past week, we have examined the short story "Eleven" along with the picture books Baseball Save Us and A Day's Work. Some theme's from these are: Stand up for yourself, Determination and Honesty and Integrity.
Throughout the unit, we will:
Read short stories
Write a thesis statement (theme/lesson taught by story)
Give reasons and evidence to support thesis
Write an introduction - somebody, wanted, but, so, then, thesis
Write a conclusion - I think, I realize...
