McGoldrick Collegium is a home away from home for graduate students, adult learners, parent students, and veterans in all majors. We sincerely thank all of our members for being a part of this community!
Winter is coming!
Fall quarter is coming to a close, which means winter is almost upon us (although it feels like it's already here!). We hope you are taking good care of yourselves as you finish all of your papers, tests, and group projects. Here are some events coming up...
-McGoldrick Collegium will be open through Wednesday, December 9th. This means we will be closed from December 10th - first day of Winter Quarter.
-End of Fall Quarter celebration will be on Tuesday, 12/8 from 5:30 till close. Come drink cider, eat treats, and share your winter break plans!
-Winter Solstice: December 22nd is the official first day of winter.

Events around Seattle in December
Staying in town and not sure what to do during winter break? Here are some ideas...
- Homo for the Holidays: December 10th-27th at Oddfellows Hall. "BenDeLaCreme, Kitten N' Lou, Cherdonna, Waxie Moon, and more help you usher in the holiday season and make your yuletide gay. Look forward to sexy, spectacular drag and burlesque acts."
- Winter Beer Fest: December 4-5th at the Sandpoint Hangar 30. Features beers from over 50 Washington Brewers Guild member breweries.
- Georgetown Holiday Market: December 5th, 12-7pm at Georgetown Trailer Park Mall. Fun place to buy gifts, drink coffee, and explore! Free!
- Kwanzaa Celebration and Black Santa at Northwest African American Museum: December 12th from 12-3pm a. Celebrate Kwanzaa by making a woven mkeka from paper and painting a kinara.
- Jingle Bell Run/Walk: December 13th. Annual fun run that raises money for arthritis research.
- Charlie Brown Christmas with the Jose Gonzalez Trio: December 13th at the Cornish Playhouse (Seattle Center). This will be awesome!
- Sam Lights: December 17th at Olympic Sculpture Park from 6-9pm. Head to Olympic Sculpture Park to see it "decked out in hundreds of glowing lights and luminaria candles." Plus, it's FREE.
- NYE Celebration at Seattle Center: "The Machine performs their dance-rock hybrid, then the fireworks go off. A fool-proof recipe for New Year's Eve fun." Free.
