Good afternoon, Mustangs!

I am so proud of our students! Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders have handled testing like champions while the remainder of the school supported a positive testing environment. Other than make up tests, we have completed testing. This one snapshot of data is collected for accountability on our school's state report card. Thank you for sending your children ready for testing each day and for your support of their learning. Together we help our children in their successes!! Thank you!

Please remember that our updated security system requires you to bring your drivers license to sign into the school. It is also required to sign your child out if dismissing early. Our sweet secretaries did not create this system or process so please be kind to them when waiting. If attending a big event you will want to come early. Please remember...regardless of the length of the line be kind.

Friday, May 25, is a weather make up day that was not used so this will be a four day week with no school on Friday. Monday, May 28, is Memorial Day a school holiday so there is no school. This means we have a 4-day weekend next weekend!!!

I hope you enjoy this weekend and get ready for our June 5 Blowfish Game!!! Thank you to our readers!!!

Yours truly,

Jan Fickling, Principal

Mustang Fest Refund Option Information

Please read the following information and if you pre- purchased wristbands for our Mustang Fest you will need to print and return the refund option form with your choice of the 3 options available. Please click on the button tab below to view and print and you may return these to our main office.

Dear Parents:

You are receiving this letter because you have pre-purchased wristbands for Mustang Fest. Unfortunately, inclement weather effected both our event day and our backup day. Although it broke our hearts to have to cancel the event for this year, both calendar and vendor constraints will not allow for the event to be held before the end of this school year. Due to space constraints, we also could not accommodate an event of this size indoors.

In order to (1) hopefully alleviate further weather concerns and (2) so no one has to wait another entire year for the next event, we will hold Mustang Fest in the fall of school year 2018-2019 (date TBD).

In the meantime, we would like to offer three options to you.

We will offer you a full refund.

We will gratefully accept your wristband purchase as a PTO

donation which will be put towards Mustang Fest in the fall.

We will hold your wristbands until the event in the fall when we

will distribute them to you. If you are unable to attend the event in

the fall, we will refund your money at that time.

Please check the box for the option you choose. For those that choose refunds, those will be disbursed to you in the next few weeks. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter. If you have any questions, feel free to email us at

Thank you,

The Midway PTO
