From Your Captain

Thank you for showing your team spirit at our House Party! The purpose of the House Parties is to get students excited to come to school and learn. We appreciate your support and encouragement in trying out this new idea. Continue to motivate your house in the areas of attendance, achievement, and good character.

If you have any feedback, please let me know. We are always wanting to learn and grow!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving break and get some rest!!

Conscious Discipline

Our Weekly Commitment: We will be responsible in the restroom by not writing on the walls.

Unfortunately, if the writing in the restroom in the 4th/5th grade hallway doesn't stop, classes will have to start taking class restroom breaks together. You may remind students that since they are vandalizing STATE property, the consequences will include police involvement.

Counselor's Corner

Oh Christmas Tree , Oh Christmas tree,

I love my individuality.

I'm special. I'm unique.

No one else is just like me.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas tree,

I love my individuality.

December’s guidance lessons will focus on self-esteem / confidence. Students will be encouraged to realize that they have value and can accomplish great things when they believe in themselves. Also, students will work on identifying what traits make them a special and unique individual. Creating a one of a kind holiday decoration will be part of the lesson; therefore, I want to visit each class the week we get back (November 27 – December 1st). This will allow everyone to have their artwork on display before Christmas break. Thanks!

Below is a schedule:

Tuesday, November 28 – Group 1: 5th, 2nd and Terrell

Thursday, November 30 – Group 2: 4th, 1st and Scott

Friday, December 1 – Group 3: 3rd, Kinder and Picazo
