TC's Make a Difference Week
Hat Day - Tuesday, May 10, 2016
Your "Change" Will Help Make a "Change!"
With the help of all students, staff and the amazing volunteer Jean Gertley, our school grounds are transformed each year through Our Make a Difference Week. This year we will be “refreshing” our school grounds as well as the areas in our Outdoor Classroom and our Compost Area. As you can see, we have an amazing SYNERGIZING opportunity planned for your child once again this year.
Our school will be collecting funds for our "Make a Difference Week" on Tuesday, May 10th to help our school grounds. Students will be allowed to wear a hat on this day. We are asking for any monetary donation to help with this year’s projects. Your "change" will help make a "change" to our grounds. Your support is greatly appreciated in helping us complete this year’s amazing transformation once again.
Each classroom will be going outside during the days of May 13- 31st. Please check with your child’s teacher as to what date their class will be helping outside so you can have your child dress appropriately for their day.
Please make checks out to Thornton Creek Elementary, as well as any cash donation will be greatly appreciated. You can also consider purchasing a perennial or a plant. If you are able to donate a perennial from your own garden, we are accepting: Sedums, Stelladora Daylillies, Hostas and any Ornamental Grasses. Please place these in a bag or gallon container outside our school by the flag pole during the week of May 16th.
