What is in the Project C.Y.C.L.E. Memos?

This communication will serve to keep the lines of communication open for our Project C.Y.C.L.E. group. This will be emailed to teachers and mentors involved in Project C.Y.C.L.E. You have the capability to respond or ask questions at the bottom of every memo. Feel free to share it with your administration to keep them updated with important information

When do we attend PD sessions?

The dates below are reserved at the Professional Development Center (PDC). We will be in Seminar Room 118, PC Lab 114 and 116 each time from 3:30 - 7:00 pm. Two sessions will be conducted each date (3:30-5:30 pm and 5:00-7:00 pm).

Here are the dates as follows in Rooms 118,116, and 114 @PDC, 2500 East Northern Parkway, Baltimore, MD, 21214:

1. Orientation-Wednesday, November 4th - Completed

2. Orientation-Thursday, November 5th - Completed

3. Session 1 - Tues., December 8th, 3:30-5:30pm & 5:00-7:00pm

4. Session 2 - Tues., January 12th, 3:30-5:30pm & 5:00-7:00pm**NEXT SESSION**

5. Session 3 - Tues., February 9th, 3:30-5:30pm & 5:00-7:00pm

6. Session 4 - Tues., March 15th, 3:30-5:30pm & 5:00-7:00pm

These meetings will ALL be held at PDC, 2500 Northern Parkway. We used your feedback from the SWOT Analysis and changed the times to accommodate your schedules. We will continue to utilize your feedback and concerns as we work together throughout the year. Please let us know if you anticipate any conflicts with attending and be reminded that successful completion of this program awards 6 AUs for mentors and 3 AUs for teachers. Attendance is required. If you have missed, please email Shanna Warburton-Barnes to discuss options.

Evidence Collection for Project C.Y.C.L.E. Mentors

New Teachers in Project C.Y.C.L.E. - If all of your teachers are participating in Project C.Y.C.L.E. then you have documentation and evidence (through CASTL) of your support with those teachers. For this reason, you are excused from completing the log for any teacher you have in Project C.Y.C.L.E. If you have teachers who are not participating in Project CYCLE, the Mentor Accountability Log must be completed for those individuals. If you would still like to complete it for all of your teachers, please feel free to turn in other evidence of your supports.

New Teachers not in Project C.Y.C.L.E. - Any teacher who is not participating in Project C.Y.C.L.E. and is being supported by you must have evidence submitted to verify mentoring supports in the Mentor Accountability Log.

Immediate Action: Consent Form for New Teachers

Please make sure your new teachers complete the consent form for Project C.Y.C.L.E. If you have teachers who have not completed this form, please complete it by January 15, 2016.
