Automated Attendance Emails Resume
Beginning on November 30, 2021, the district will resume sending automated emails to parents when an unexcused absence occurs. The emails will come from the address HumbleISD_Connect@humbleisd.net.
To avoid absences being marked as unexcused, parents must notify the school that their child is absent. Parental consent for the absence makes it excused. Parents must provide the parent note to the campus within 48 hours of the student's return to school.
If your child is absent, please:
- call the attendance line at 281-641-5019;
- Or, email dhemsin@humbleisd.net about the absence;
- Or, send a parent note with the student about the absence;
- Or, go to the GE webpage and submit the online form.
All questions can be directed to dhemsin@humbleisd.net.

Credit By Exam for Elementary Students
Volunteers are welcome to come out in the mornings and help with both the unassisted and assisted car rider lines. It will especially help closer to the time when Rangers and staff have to go in. Sign up below if you are able to assist. You can also drop your student off, park, and then come open doors.
Additionally, parents are always welcome to contact the Humble ISD non-emergency number at 281-641-7900 to request additional support in preventing a backup exiting the school, especially as it gets closer to WLMS arrivals.

Wise Wednesday Spring Edition
Dear Parents,
The graduation endorsements that students will learn about on Wise Wednesday during the Spring Semester are Business and Industry (3rd 9 weeks) and Arts & Humanities (4th 9 weeks). If you have a career in either of these Endorsement areas we need your help! On January 12th, we will introduce the Business and Industry endorsement and on March 23rd we will introduce Arts and Humanities . We would love for our parents to be involved in our Den Time Career Exploration by recording a brief Flip Grid clip stating your name, your career, and a one sentence description of your career. Also, make sure and give a shout out to your kiddos! You can make your video fun by including your uniform, place of business, or a special vehicle you drive. Visit www.flipgrid.com and type the appropriate join code for your career area and guest password Grizzlies21. If you have any questions please contact your counselors. We are looking forward to learning about your careers!

What is Watch D.O.G.S.?
WATCH D.O.G.S. is one of the nation’s largest and most respected school-based, family, and community engagement organizations in the country. Since the program’s creation in 1998, more than 6,800 schools across the country have launched a WATCH D.O.G.S. program of their own. Each school year hundreds of thousands of fathers and father-figures make a positive impact on millions of children by volunteering millions of hours in their local schools through this amazing one-of-a-kind program. Who are WatchDOGS? Fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father figures who volunteer to serve at least one day a year in a variety of school activities as assigned by the school principal or other administrator.
