Emergency Medical Response at Lunch today
Please let your child know that the student who was hurt today will be okay. They received quick and effective care both from our campus supervision staff, our district nursing team, and the fire department.
Any time a student is hurt on campus, we're fortunate to have speedy response times from emergency services with a fire station right across the street. We also appreciate how calm nearby students remained and that they followed adult directions while we helped respond. We'll be checking up on the student's recovery over the break and will be reminding all students about our safety guidelines for the swings and playground area when we return from the Thanksgiving break.
End of Trimester 1 is Thursday, November 18
Some schedules do change for Trimester 2, so students should check StudentVue for their updated schedules before coming back to school after the break.

Counseling Corner
One of the key parts of nearly every character strong advisory lesson is the “CharacterDare.” This is an invitation near the end of most lessons to put the content that they are learning into action in the real world. Listed below are the grade specific character dares with some recommended questions to ask your student if you would like some conversation starters about their weekly dare. We are also including a family character dare for you to try if you would like. We dare you!
8th graders started using character dares Thursday 11/4, 7th graders start this Thursday 11/18 and 6th graders will start 12/2. Keep in mind, your student will not know about this specific dare until Thursday during advisory!
8th Grade Character Dare: Dare to Dream
Sharing dreams helps make them more real. Share your dream 1) on a piece of paper, 2) with a friend, and 3) with an adult in your life. Who will you share your dream with? What is a question you would like someone to ask you about your dreams? Why?
7th Grade Character Dare: Value Valuing
Choose one of the values from today and think of someone you know who lives it out. Before we meet next, write them a message telling them you appreciate them. Who will you send your message to? Which of your values do they live out well?
Family Character Dare: Game Night
Play a board game together as a family this week. Let your student(s) choose the game to play. If you don’t have any games at home try make-your-own Pictionary or a classic game of Charades!
