FROM THE HEAD'S DESK
Good to report that despite the weather the Year 10 Geography Field Trip to South Wales was a great success, as was the Year 8 Parents Evening, thanks to all involved in those activities.
On Wednesday night there was an outstanding Music Concert at the College Avenue site, my congratulations to all the performers and thank you to all the staff who supported the event.
Good luck today to the scullers at the National Junior Sculling event at Dorney Lake and the Year 11 Drama pupils who have their GCSE moderation today.
I look forward to meeting parents at the Boat Club Dinner on Saturday and the final week of term when we hold our Commemoration Service on Tuesday and break up on Wednesday.
A very busy Easter holiday with Skiing, Rowing and Sailing trips all out and on our return Year 10 Historians are travelling to Ypres to help with their GCSE studies.
"There's nothing better than a good friend, except a good friend with Chocolate."
Linda Grayson, "The Pickwick Paper"
Happy Easter

Music Concert
Could Mr Roach thank all those boys who played/sang so wonderfully on Wednesday. You were all a credit to the school.
Music News
On Tuesday 28 March the Jazz Band and Year 7-9 choir are performing again at the Commemoration Service rehearsing Periods 5 and 6 and will stay there until the start of the event at 2.30. Could I ask that the pupils have a packed lunch as permission will NOT be given for them to wander into town.

SUMMER TERM ACTIVITIES
On line booking for Summer term activities is open for online registration via the Activities Hub until 5pm on Wednesday 29 March (last day of term). You can preview the activity options online over this weekend.
Any pupil travelling home on the bus must be signed up for an activity, study or pre-prep after school care. Pupils not staying after school should register as “No Activity”, helping us to ensure that our “after-hours” fire lists are correct. If you have any queries, please email our activities co-ordinator rather than calling the school offices as this will avoid any delay.

FIDGET AIDS
It appears we have a current trend for fiddle toys which are causing considerable distraction for some boys in lessons. While we recognise that some pupils need a fidget aid to support their concentration, there are other pupils for whom they have the opposite effect. Unless issued or sanctioned by the SENCO the spinner and cubes will be considered toys and are not permitted in lessons.
If your son has any of these items please ask him to leave it at home, any unauthorised items which are seen in lessons will be confiscated and returned at the end of term.
FROM THE OFFICE

We currently have proofs of the Lent Term Hockey and Football team photographs on display in the reception. If you would like to order prints contact the school office for an order form (sha@clairescourt.net), or boys can collect an order form to bring home.
