Instructional Plan
Assessment Process:
Most of the students at I.S.045 Middle School have a Facebook account and share pictures with their peers. The middle school will add digital photography to its curriculum to give students the opportunity to access and create digital creations using digital cameras. Surveys were done by the photography department and through personal observations and feedback from students. Students were asked to complete surveys and complete video permission and computer policy forms. Results from the survey revealed that some students have only used a built in camera on their phones and other students have never used a digital camera. However, most of the middle school students are enthusiastic about learning how to use a digital camera, the basics of digital photography and multi-media tools to create digital images from their photos. The plan will include tools that will allow students to create and explore other areas of digital photography in a safe and interactive environment.
