Campus Parent Communication - May 14, 2021
Wow! Only one week to go! We have a lot of exciting activities planned for next week and look forward to spending these last 5 days making memories with your kiddos!
Thank you for an amazing year! I know it's been challenging, but our students and teachers have done an incredible job being flexible and conquering all of the obstacles that have come our way. In addition, we could not have done it without you. We are so appreciative of your partnership with us, and can't wait to have you and your students back with us on campus next year!
Have a fun and safe summer!

Technology and Instructional Resource Retrieval Information
As we conclude the 2020-2021 school year, we will be holding a learning resources retrieval for our At-Home learners on May 21 and May 24. Each student is expected to return any math manipulatives, readers, and electronic devices. If your student borrowed a Chromebook from the school, you need to return the device as well as the charger. Please see the schedule for the learning resources retrieval using a drive thru service on May 21 and 24 at the following times:
Instructional Resource Retrieval - May 21 and May 24-Select one time to return materials
May 21 - All grades (9:30-11:00 & 1:00-3:00)
May 24 - Only for those unable to drop off on May 21 - (8:00-11:00)
Directions for curbside drop-off- For the safety of all students, staff, and parents, please prepare to stay in your vehicles during the retrieval of materials. We will have staff outside assisting with the returned materials. Please place all math manipulatives and readers in separate zip lock bags labeled with your student’s name, grade level, and teacher. To make the process flow as smoothly as possible, have your student’s name, grade level, and teacher on a 8.5x11 sheet of paper on your dashboard. This will ensure the materials are returned to the correct grade level and teacher.
All traffic will enter the large parking lot by the gym. Once you enter the parking lot, proceed to the grade level color cones by the gym. Staff will collect any math manipulatives and readers at this location. If you borrowed technology, you will then stop in front of the school at the cafeteria doors, and staff will be there to assist you.
Important Information to Know Before You Come To Return Technology Devices:
1. Please return the charger along with the device.
2. Please make sure your student has logged off the device, and the device is turned off.
3. Please know you are only returning devices for your Vaughan students. If you have other children who attend other Allen schools, you will return their devices to their location.
We want to thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we anticipate that parents will have to wait in line during designated times for drop-off. If I can be of further assistance to you, please feel free to email me at ashley.nelson@allenisd.org.
