Travel Information

To get to France from Houston, Texas it would take 9 hours and 30 minutes on a non-stop flight. If your flight leaves from Canada though it would take about 11 hours and 25 minutes on a non-stop flight. France is 5,021 miles away so the further up you go the longer the ride. If I was going to France I would go alone, with a lover or a close family member, but for my purposes and the purposes of this project, I'm just going alone. I would most likely travel by plane, since boat would take a long time. I would stay in France for 3 days to a week, if you want to go sight-seeing and other things a week would be a fairly good amount of time.

Hotels and Lodging

I would recommend the Four Seasons George V hotel since it has a 5-star rating and a very nice interior. The interior has a modern feeling with hints of classy every where, on the tiles in the bathroom to the way the lights hang from the ceiling in the dining hall. When traveling away from home for quite some period of time, I suggest packing quite a few out fits for the daytime, night clothes, toothbrush, brush, camera and anything you use on a regular daily basis that you know you need.

The trip of course will cost some money, the hotel I suggested above was about $1,500 per night, the cost of food, gas if you get a rental car and your spending money, I would say you need about 15,000 dollars to be covered, which, I know, is a lot of money, but you can always choose a different hotel, come for less days or even if you have family over here, come live with them and boom! Tons of money just got saved!

There is plenty of things to do in Paris, France. You can visit the Eiffel Tower, go shopping, scavenge the roads for cheese from the street sellers or go eat at one of the many restaurants on the curbs. At the hotel you can swim in the swimming pool or you can go eat in the dining hall. Many unique opportunities here in France are the different kinds of food you can try, different kinds of lifestyles and also the chance to learn a new language.
