A Message from Assistant Principal Carr
Dear Families,
Starting Monday, April 5th we will be moving into our 3rd Hybrid/Remote rotation. Below are some things to remember as we approach this day:
Please remind your student to charge their chromebooks the night before.
Announcements will continue to be aired at 9:00am every morning at the following ZOOM link.
Students who attended Hybrid will use the same entry locations and exits as they did during Rotation 1.
Remind your student (1) the teacher/room number they will be assigned and (2) the door where they will line up to enter and dismiss.
Please remember to look for the CrisisGo verification emails each morning and complete them as soon as possible. Please note: Students will not be allowed to attend in-person classes until the online Parent Certification form is completed
After students are dismissed at 12:40 and return home, we hope that they will have lunch and then be ready to participate in Student Support Time with a Core Teacher if needed, in the afternoon and complete their other asynchronous work.
Please remind your student to charge their chromebooks the night before.
Sincerely,
Chemaine Carr

D97 Launches COVID-19 Testing Program for Middle School Students - Appointment Slots
Dear Families of in-person 6th Grade students and 7th Grade in-person as well remote students participating in IAR testing the week of April 12th:
While District 97 continues to experience success with hybrid learning and its internal safety metrics, we are excited to launch an additional COVID-19 mitigation strategy this month through a partnership with Northshore Clinical Labs.
All of our on-site students starting the week of April 12 will be required to participate in COVID-19 PCR Testing program. The testing will be held on Thursdays and Fridays the week prior to your student coming onsite. Participation will be mandatory for all middle school students who participate in in-person learning for the duration of Trimester 3.
On April 8th and 9th from 4pm to 8pm the following students must make an appointment for COVID-19 testing in order to come onsite Monday, 4/12 through Thursday, 4/15:
- our in-person 6th grade students following the hybrid schedule
- our in-person 7th grade students who will be IAR testing and
- 7th grade remote students who have elected to come onsite for IAR testing
