For me, the spring semester flies by, and I find myself rushing from one thing to the next. Before I know it, it is summer. I recently had breakfast with a retired dean, and I asked her to share some advice she would like to pass on to the next generation of leaders.

"I wish I had celebrated the wins longer than I did," she told me. "Something great happens but we so often don't enjoy the moment long enough and look what's next."

It is a great reminder to enjoy those moments where something great is accomplished, whether a publication, promotion, project, or something else.
