Hawk Happenings: April 17th

Holy Rosary Regional School/Juan Diego Academy Community

Message from the Principal

Greetings,

I am sending this out early because, with everything that happened last week, I forgot to send a reminder about tomorrow's half day. Hopefully, you have been tracking it on the school calendar. Sorry about that! The students get out at noon tomorrow and Extended Care will be available. All children who have not been picked up by 12:15 pm will be sent to Extended Care and families will be billed. This will be a productive afternoon as the teachers are working on planning for next year already!!

If you scroll down, you will see a special deal for the Gala. Please consider attending this wonderful event with our guest speaker...Bishop Eusebio!

Blessings,

Katie Dempsey

Father Wagner Update

I have been to visit Father Wagner everyday at the hospital. Sometimes, for a short time and other days for hours. He remains on a ventilator, though he is doing some breathing on his own. He is able to move one side, though not "on command". He is in a medically induced coma so that they can allow him time for any healing that will occur to occur. We continue to pray for a miracle, while understanding that God's will is not known to any of us. Please continue to pray for Father to experience the healing and grace of God's love, whether he remains here or goes to be with Jesus in the kingdom.

Special Deal for School Families!! $$$

Holy Rosary Gala

Please join us at this year's Gala. We are offering discounted tickets to Holy Rosary School families. Dress in your fancy cocktail attire for a great evening out. Cost for one is $50 or $100 for a couple. Ticket includes appetizers, cocktails, dinner, and dancing...not to mention our special guest speaker!

We are very excited that Bishop Eusebio Elizondo will be attending as the keynote speaker. Students will also be singing and dancing to entertain the crowd and showcase their bilingual skills. This is a very important fundraising event for our school with a financial goal of $175,000. The primary funds raised during the evening go to fund tuition assistance programs. We cannot provide scholarships without a successful evening!

If you are still looking for volunteer hours we also need you! We will need help with decorations, set-up, event assistance, and clean-up. Please see the online sign-up to volunteer: http://signup.com/go/nVvqxwZ Don't forget, unfulfilled volunteer hours will be billed out in May at $20 per hour!

Questions or interest please email, Sarah McKinney: smckinney@hrrsjda.org.
