LHS PTSA Update
Please join us in congratulating Wendy Abare, this years winner of the Liberty PTSA Lifetime Membership Award. Wendy is truly dedicated to the students, parents and teachers of Liberty High School and this was our way of thanking her for all that she does to help make life a little better for all of us. Thank you Wendy!
With a move into Frisco ISD in 2011, Wendy has taken on many PTA board and officer roles at Isbell Elementary, Vandeventer Middle School and Liberty High School. She has been actively involved in the PTA from day one! She has served as a Room Mom, school carnival organizer, VP of Fundraising, VP of Membership, Communications lead plus Volunteer lead along with many subcommittees throughout the years. She now holds the role of Freshman Mom for Liberty High School where she mentors a group of freshmen students who represent their class as part of the Liberty PTSA board. Wendy works full time as a Talent Acquisition Manager for UnitedHealth Group. She is a proud mom & step-mom to some great kids. Cooper and Jack are currently attending Liberty while big sister, Ashley, recently graduated from LHS in 2018! Wendy is looking forward to 3 more years of service as the boys wrap up high school!
Teacher Appreciation Week Success!
Thank you for helping to make Teacher Appreciation Week a fantastic event. We started the week with a catered lunch from Twisted Tortilla, provided a snack bags for each teacher during STAAR testing and finally wrapped up the week with a small token of our appreciation, a logo cooler bag!
PTSA General Meeting - Monday, May 20th @ 7pm in the LHS Library
Please join the Liberty PTSA in the last General Meeting of the 2018-2019 school year. We will be honoring the Presidential Volunteer Award Recipients as well as hearing an inspirational and motivational message from speaker Kevin Pratt about “Giving Back To Your Community”. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Current Junior Parents/Incoming Senior Parents - The PTSA WANTS YOU!
The Liberty PTSA is looking for a committee of incoming senior parents who would like to organize and implement the Senior Activities next year. The current Seniors have experienced Senior Sunrise, Sand Volleyball, and upcoming Six Flags trip, Senior Baccalaureate, Senior Sunset, etc. This all happening due to our current Senior parent, Lupe Walding, who we all owe a great deal of thanks. We want next years events to be just as amazing so we are looking for parents who want to create a fantastic experience for the Seniors. Please email president.libertyptsa@gmail.com if you are interested in being a part of the committee, please note if you would like to be the committee chair or part of the committee.
Message from the Nurse
I have provided every Senior a copy of their immunization record. When they pick up their Diploma it will be in the envelope. I recommend you keep this in a safe place. At some point in the future, you will need to provide a copy of your immunization records.
