Kawerongo Newsletter 6 2022
Te Rōhutu Whio 28th April 2022
Kia ora e te whānau! Free kawhe coffee and some special events!
Kia ora e te whānau,
We enjoyed seeing many of you at your child's personalised learning conferences last term and look forward to greeting the rest of you at the ones coming up this Mane Monday!
We are super excited that we are at orange level now and are able to have you come through the gates and drop your tamariki off in learning spaces. With orange level it is up to each whānau to decide whether their children wear masks. To celebrate this new chapter, you will be able to start your day with free coffee from the van on our first day of normal classes, Tuesday 3rd May!
Mihi Whakatau
We are absolutely thrilled to say that we are able to have our Mihi Whakatau go ahead on Tāite Thursday 5th May - Wiki 1 of Term 2.
The Mihi Whakatau is a special welcome acknowledging our tangata whenua people of the land and manuhiri guests and welcomes us all to be one together. We are so excited to have you as part of our Te Rōhutu Whio whānau! Due to orange light we are able to invite one person from each whānau to attend.
Please see below for how the morning will run:
9.30am Manuhiri Visitors and Whānau to wait outside of Te Rōreka office
Manuhiri to be welcomed into our Learning Village
Kaikōrero speaker from Te Rōhutu Whio to welcome new whānau followed by waiata song
