February Vacation Begins today! We will return February 25th
We Love It Here!
Newsletter
Spell-a-thon for Chromebooks is here!!!
Just a reminder to get those pledges and study your words over vacation!
- It is Educational!
- It is All Profit (no payments or profits to third parties) and all proceeds will be used to purchase a chrome cart!
- It Does NOT Require Selling Products!
- Teacher Supported and will benefit our School Student Learning Goals!
How it Works:
Students received a list of words to study and a pledge sheet. Students can ask family and friends to sponsor them either per word or as a flat rate donation.
Pledge sheets are returned to school and students will take a Spell-A-Thon test the week of 2/25. Corrected sheets are returned to students along with the Pledge sheet. Students share their results with their sponsors and collect donations.
School Wide Goal: To Raise money to purchase a chrome cart. Just imagine that if each child could get a pledge of $20.00 we would have enough to purchase one chrome cart!!
Our Unity Tree continues to grow leaves with acts of kindness.

What is Happening at Glenwood
Makerspace- Thank you for all of our amazing donations!!!
A true makerspace is defined not by what's in it, but rather by what comes out of it: projects, experiences, artifacts, and learning. At Glenwood we are looking to have a makerspace that opens opportunities for children to design, create and explore. We are looking for donations of materials we can use in our makerspace. We are in desperate need of materials for our makerspace. Some things that we can not get enough of are:
small pieces of wood and nails for building
Cereal and cardboard boxes
masking and duct tape,
toilet paper and paper towel rolls,
craft supplies,
cereal boxes,
cardboard,
fabric, yarn,
streamers
plastic containers,
or anything that may end up in the recycling bin
We appreciate these and other materials that are in a clean and usable condition.
Mrs. Thayer's classes visited the makerspace this week.
