How many books can my child check out?
Students in kindergarten and first grade may check out one book at a time. Students in grades 2 through 5 may check out two books, as long as he/she does not have any overdue books.
Can a parent or guardian check out books from the library?
Absolutely! Adults may check out up to a maximum of 10 books at a time. Parents are encouraged to check out books before school, or after 2:00 p.m., as the library has classes scheduled throughout the day.
When are books due back to the library?
ALL books are due back one week from the date that they were checked out, whether by a parent or by a student. Books may be renewed if brought back to the library on or before the due date.
Is there a fine for overdue books?
No, the library does not charge a fine for late books returned to the library. However, if a book is lost or damaged, a replacement fee must be paid before checking out additional books.
When is the library open?
The library opens every day at 7:45 a.m. and closes at 3:00 p.m. Lunch is from 11:15 - 12:00 p.m. Occasionally the library will be closed for a meeting or a trip to the office.
