Mote's Note - A note from the Principal - Kyla Mote
Bearkat Families,
We hope you had a wonderful holiday break and were able to spend time together with those you love. When students returned on Monday I read a book to them, I Promise, by Lebron James. Each class spent time thinking about their promise to themselves or others and shared in different ways, the end of the book is "I promise to be me!". This is such a powerful statement and our goal each day! Please ask your child about their promise.
I wanted to let you all know that students will be taking assessments over the next few weeks so that we can get an idea of where we are academically and what they each need to continue to grow. These assessments will not count as grades, however, they will let us know specifically where we need to focus for each student.
Looking forward, we have a remote learning day on January 15th and January 18th is a student and staff holiday. If you are wanting to change your child's mode of learning (face to face or connect) for the 3rd nine weeks, please do this between Monday, Jan. 11 and Sunday, Jan. 17 using the Home Access Center.
Log in to the Home Access Center using your PARENT login/password, NOT the STUDENT login/password.
Click the “Home” button. Select the “School Links” tab. Click the “Return to School Questionnaire – 3rd Grading Period.”
You must use the parent login to see the “Return to School Questionnaire – 3rd Grading Period” in the "School Links" tab.
If you do not see the “Return to School Questionnaire – 3rd Grading Period”, you may have used the student login instead of the parent login.
If you do not have a parent login, please contact the Customer Care Center at 281-897-4357 or the registrar at your child’s campus.
.
We do ask that you continue to read with your child at home as research shows this is a successful way to grow readers and writers. Please allow them to read to you and you read to them as well.
Congrats to our School Spelling Bee Winners:
Aiden Taylor and Peyton Cockle
