Building Update

It is an outstanding feeling to have all classes now operating out of their new spaces. Teachers and students alike are loving the new feel, break-out spaces, and indoor and outdoor flow. I would like to thank the BOT Property Committee for all of their hard work and the teachers and students for their patience and flexibility.

Below are some photos of students enjoying their new spaces.

Room 13 Juicie and Moosie Statistics in Action

Last week we had our first Friday of juicies and Moosies. However, when it came to fulfilling the orders, the blue moon’ moosies had sold out. We decided that we would do a statistical investigation on juicy and Moosie sales to help predict what juicies and moosies should be purchased in order to get the types that Stanley Avenue students want to order. As a class, we collated data from last week’s orders and gathered relevant information for Mrs Finucane to order the right amounts of juicies and moosies for the coming weeks. Finding real life situations to apply our mathematical thinking provides opportunity for us to see how statistics is used in the wider world.

Year 7/8 Immunisation Forms are due back to school ASAP

Year 7/8 students need to return their immunisation forms back to school as soon as possible so these can be collected by our wonderful Public Health Nurse Suzanne Gallagher. Please make sure you have completed the relevant section, even if your child is not receiving an immunisation.

Stanley Avenue School App

Our School App provides our community with many important updates. I strongly encourage you if you haven’t already to download the App either through Google Play or the App Store.
