Walk-a-Thon News

Walk-a-Thon recess laps are in full swing, and the students are doing a great job! We even have some medal-earners already! Recess laps will continue next week (weather permitting), and participating students may wear tennis shoes to school.

There is still time to get your 2019 Walk-a-Thon T-shirts! Please return your completed Family Packets to school by this Friday, September 20th to get t-shirts for every SPB K-8 student in your family.

Thank you for your continued support of this awesome FUNd-raiser for our wonderful school and students!

Interested in being a library volunteer?

Thank you to the parents who have started helping out in the library! We are still looking for some additional help. Our library volunteers read to students, help students select books, sort and shelve books, etc. It's a wonderful way to get involved. Library volunteers must be Virtus trained and have a current BCII check. If interested, please email Ms. Raguz at draguz@saintpaschal.com . Volunteers are needed on the following days and times:

  • Mondays-10:20-11:20 a.m. (LIbrary/STEM block for 1B-Miss Martinson's class)
  • Tuesdays-9:30-11:00 a.m. (Library for Jr. K and Library/STEM block for 2B-Mrs. Braun's class)
  • Wednesdays (2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th weeks)-8:45-11:20 a.m.-Preschool and Library/STEM block for KB-Mrs. Alan's class)
  • Thursdays-9:30-11:40 a.m.(Library/STEM block for 3A-Mrs. Uzzo's class and KA-Mrs. Mickol's class)

Clinic Corner

Just a friendly reminder that if your child is sent home after vomiting, having diarrhea, or having a fever, please keep your child home for 24 hours after the last episode so that we can prevent the spread of these germs. Thank you for your help always in keeping our students healthy.

Playground/Lunchroom Volunteer Sign Ups

The links to sign up for playground/lunchroom supervision for parents/guardians of students in Grades 7-8 are now live!

We are asking that each family (mom, dad, grandma, etc.) choose at least two days to volunteer each time slot being 11:00-1:00. We are so grateful for the help!

This is a great way for you to interact with your child and his/her classmates during the school day! Lunch/Recess Volunteers should arrive to school at 11:00 and check in at the office. Duties will include supervising students at recess, escorting students to the cafeteria from recess, and supervising in the cafeteria. Volunteers will be with one teacher and two "core" volunteers each day to help direct. Remember that after your two volunteer time slots, you are done for the year, as each month is assigned to a different grade.

Thank you again for your time and service to the students and teachers of SPB! Simply click on the grade level link to pick a time convenient for you: Grade 8 or Grade 7

Blue Mass-Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019 at 9:00 a.m.

On Wednesday, October 2 at the 9:00 a.m. Mass, we will celebrate the Feast of the Guardian Angels and honor society's "guardian angels.'" The all school Mass will be dedicated to the men and women who work to protect us--our police officers, our firefighters, and our first responders. We would like to invite all parents and parishioners who work in those fields to attend the Blue Mass, celebrate the Liturgy with us, and receive a special blessing. We ask that you complete the RSVP form below so that we have an idea of the number attending. The entire Saint Paschal Baylon School family would love to see you there. We are truly thankful for the support of the Highland Heights police and fire departments, and for all men and women who serve their communities. God bless you all!

Altar Server Training

Students in grades 3-8 are invited to become an altar server by attending the training sessions on the following Tuesdays: October 15, 22, 29, & November 5 with installation on Sunday, November 10 at the 10 a.m. Mass.

Sessions will be after school until 3:30 p.m. in the church. All in training should watch the video:
